"Now to the one show that made me smile & have a little hope that some one is working at something that makes a difference & makes sense…MARGIN. By far the best exhibition that I have seen this season in London. Excellent mixture of labels & product…divided into sections that compliment each other, & labels that can excite" Fatsarazzi, WhatWhenAndNow.com

"We've placed quite a few orders, a lot more than we do at the other shows. Today we've been here for about 5 hours. It's been really good because we're opening a new shop and we need to get a load of stuff for the new site. Everyone's really friendly which is nice for a fashion event" + FortyFive, Plymouth +

Many thanks to visitors and exhibitors for attending and contributing to the August 2007 edition of Margin London to make it our busiest Summer edition yet. Attendance was up to match February (despite the Sunday being the hottest day on record in 2007!) and we attribute this to a combination of our new W1 location, the addition of a third day plus the success retailers have enjoyed by ordering from individual and unique designers at previous editions of Margin.   NEW VENUE + MARGIN LONDON BACK IN W1
Margin is pleased to announce that the upscale streetwear and directional tailoring trade show will be moving into the new home of the Vinyl Factory Gallery. The venue opened in 2004 after the Margin exhibition was established in 2002 and hasn't been available until now. Margin London has secured the space for all forthcoming editions.

The spiritual home of Margin London is in W1 in the heart of Londons retail district surrounded by stores, buying offices and magazine offices, plus we appreciate that out-of-town buyers that visit Margin like to keep up-to-date on retail developments by checking out central London stores so we're ideally placed.

At almost 8000 square feet, the floorspace is much the same as at the previous venue yet centrally located back in W1 where Margin feels the shows belong, and central to all other Mens & Womens trade events taking place on the same dateline in west and east London.

  QUOTES:
"The general response to the show has always highlighted Margin's ability to attract new designers. Most trade shows are either too expensive or too mainstream for the underground labels that prefer the more intimate and casual vibe that's encouraged and protected at Margin.
The diversity of brands was remarkable, with collections from all over the world. What was most encouraging was that designers were still inspired and enthusiastic, with many of them showing handmade, quirky one-off pieces as imaginative as ones from when they first graduated.
Overall, as the brands get bigger so does Margin. Exhibitors really appreciated the new space and consequently the atmosphere was as buzzy as ever. "  www.WGSN.com

Laurent - Buyer - Bread & Honey, London:
"We were so excited to come to Margin this season because of the new venue and we weren’t disappointed! Margin always manages to bring us some new little quirky brands who sit perfectly next to our main brands and compliment the store... our favourites this season were Lost Property and their vintage tees, Kulte from France and the excellent knitwear from Loaf... There are brands for all tastes and there was a real business atmosphere, our buyers were writing orders and were interested to make contact with the new brands and designers. We will definitely be back next season!” www.breadnhoney.com

"Thanks for a great show, took lots of good new orders, so it’s all good!"
I Saved Laurence

"As usual Margin was very successful for us and has been a huge factor in the growth of our brand. It is an ideal and affordable way to showcase our clothing to a wide variety of buyers from the UK and abroad. This season we wrote really good orders and the new venue worked well for us. The general feedback from buyers I spoke to was that while other shows had become more mainstream, unimaginative and commercial, Margin had stuck to its guns offering a far more exciting selection of niche brands with unique products."
Heidi Seeker

"MARGIN was an excellent show for us and we look forward to attending in August. The Margin team have once again created a great environment for Seventyseven and other quality labels to meet with respected buyers from the U.K and around the world."
Seventyseven

  BACKGROUND
Margin exists to promote young upscale streetwear labels.
Margin London was established to help new labels reach a wider buying and press audience.
Margin London was created out of necessity. Retailers travel the world looking for the next big thing but are never going to find it at a show whose costs prohibit fresh talent. The main drive of Margin London was to establish a show where new young labels could find an affordable platform.
